Q: Tell us a little about your company, how long in business, etc.
A: Dutch fashion house Oilily has been a hallmark of creativity in the cupboard of children and women since 1963. With a humble beginnings, Oilily quickly spread its wings all over the globe. Q: Where do you get your inspirations and trend direction from for new products?
A: Oilily accessories do not follow the trend, per se. However, we are inspired by the world and the people around us: the rich heritage of different cultures around the world, the wonders and beauty of nature and wildlife, and the creativity and humor of the people inhabiting our planet.

Q: Being your first upcoming show season to the independent retailer will be this January 2015, what are you looking forward to the most about your first show?
A: The trade shows give us the opportunity to create and expose an OILILY WORLD in the showrooms. This opportunity is priceless to be able to show, transmit, inform, explain and interact face to face with hundreds of retailers . We really like to transmit the whole uniqueness of the OILILY collections in terms of design, details , inspiration and playfulness , so then the retailers can transmit that to their end consumers .

Q: Why do customers love your products?
A: In Europe, there is no brand like Oilily. We are the only one that bring such high quality products within its price range, and that have our level of print, color and design.

Q: What does the future hold for Oilily? Maybe a small sneak peek into future product expansions, ideas, etc.
A: We are launching primarily in USA our perfumes, luggage , bags, accessories and scarves collections . This are our strongest and most commercial product categories. The second normal step would be to present and launch our other product categories, and you should think in lifestyle products and home products.

Are you capturing all your customers 5 senses? Here are some tips to help you and your staff get that additional item added onto your customer’s checkout. These tips focus on reaching all 5 senses with your customer. Impulse Buying is making a purchase of an item or two that we did not plan on buying in the first place. Sometimes it’s not easy to get that impulse buy from your customers and may take practice, but it can add so much more to your bottom line. So try these tips today:

Taste –Handing out free samples can help to sweeten the deal and it can make for an easy sale. Whether you are selling a new candy product or have a new line of wines, offer free tastes to your customers. Their tastebuds will doing the deciding.

See –Place an eye-catching small displayer at or near your checkout. Introduce the product line to each customer and point out the key features about it. And keep your display fully stocked and neat. Presentation is everything.

Hear – Talk with each customer that comes in your door. Welcome them and let them hear about new products that have arrived or maybe you have a new sale going on.
