Instagram is a great place to highlight all of the fun things happening in your store! You can share quick, fun videos of employees, products and your store life! It’s great to engage with your customers and keep them excited about what’s going on! I am going to share my top five tips with you!
Tip #1 – Post Regularly
You want to make sure that you are posting to your direct feed AND your stories. Need help thinking of something to post? Repost from OneCoast or your vendor partners! These are great places to engage and show off what’s going on in your store. You can engage with your customers by asking them questions on which products or trends are their favorites! Looking to save time? Use a scheduling tool like Later.
Tip #2 – Use Video
Using videos, whether it’s a quick Boomerang or a video that lives on your IGTV, gets your customers engaged. You can share some of your favorite pieces, a fun way to use a certain product or tip on how to style a favorite fashion piece a few different ways!
Tip #3 – Incorporate People
Posting about new products and events is great! But, it’s even better to get a face on the camera. It allows your customers to get to know you and your employees a bit more, even if it’s digitally. When they come into the store, they will already feel like they know them!
Tip #4 – Ask Questions
It’s always fun to see what trends your customers are loving! It’s also a great way to get an inside track on possible additions to add to your store. You can even ask them fun questions about upcoming holidays or local events!
Tip #5 – Be Authentic
In the words of Dr. Seuss, “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.” That’s what makes the relationship between you, your customers and your employees SO special! Create content that looks and feels like it’s coming from you! There are several FREE apps and programs that can help you do that! Psst, check out our Design on Dime post!
If you have any questions on anything social media related don’t forget to Ask Us. We are here to help you!
PS – OneCoast isn’t affiliated with any of the programs/apps mentioned in this post. We’re just super excited about them!
