Q: Tell us a little about your company, how long in business, how you got started, etc.
A: Kelly Shiley, the CEO and founder of our parent company Mary Square, was running in the mountains of Colorado asking God to help her move the needle faster. That’s where the idea of CAUS was born. Kelly knew hydration was proven category but there was no hydration with a giveback tied to it. In January 2019, CAUS launched with record success. CAUS is a line of stainless-steel drink ware that 25% of the profit goes back to charity.

Q: What are your product offerings?  What’s unique about your products vs. other companies in this category?
A: CAUS offers a wide variety of hydration options that keep cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot. Water bottles, coffee mugs, coffee tumblers, drink tumblers, can coolers and more coming soon! The best thing about CAUS is the fact that 25% of the profit goes back to charity. Even better, the consumer is able to choose which cause they would like to support with their purchase.

Q: Where do you get your inspirations and trend direction from for new products?
A: We have an amazing in-house design team that works hard to study trends and predict future best sellers work collaboratively to direct the brand.

Q: What do you love most about attending the markets?
A:  We always say market is our Super Bowl time. We love seeing our buyers, both old and new. Market is a great way to put faces with names to encourage our retailer to feel a part of the CAUS family.

Q: Why do customers love your products?
A:  CAUS is different. There is meaning and a bigger story than merely drinkware. It is our world, our communities and our world.

Q: What does the future holds for CAUS?  Maybe a small sneak peek into future product expansions, ideas, etc.
A: CAUS is just getting started. We have so many amazing ideas and products in the works. We work hard to make ourselves better with every release. Stay tuned for some amazing things!

Q: Tell us a little about your company, how long in business, how you got started, etc.
A: Mary Square’s roots date back to 2011 when Kelly Shiley founded ScriptureArt. ScriptureArt designed and manufactured boutique style gifts for the Christian industry. After scaling the company quickly and diversifying the product mix, Kelly rebranded from ScriptureArt to Mary Square in 2014. Kelly chose to name the company after her grandmother “Mary”. Mary Square is a place where friends, family, faith, and fun intersect to build the foundation of what this brand is all about.

Q: What are your product offerings?  What’s unique about your products vs. other companies in this category?
A: Our product offering includes drinkware, wine glasses, gift bags, greeting cards, agendas, day planners, tee shirts, sweatshirts, apparel, inspirational gift, badge reels, carded jewelry and much more. We design our products to be merchandised in collections. We coordinate our prints so that stores can cross merchandise our products between themes and patterns to maximize the visual impact. Our strong patterns, statements, and displays make our product stand out from the crowd.

Q: Where do you get your inspirations and trend direction from for new products?
A: We are a team of 20+ women who love to shop and follow trends. Collaboration is the foundation of our product design. We work together to share ideas, give feedback, and build collections. We also listen to customer feedback as they have first-hand knowledge of marketplace trends.

Q: What do you love most about attending the markets?
A:  We love to visit with our current customers and meet new customers as well. Our very first customer to ever place an order still visits us at each market to reorder. It’s so fun to reminisce about how far we have come and to hear about what is going on with their businesses. We also love the first hand feedback we get and collaborating with our customers on new product ideas for the future.

Q: Why do customers love your products?

A:  Customers absolutely love the unique original designs, the functionality, and the price points our products offer. They love the added ways we infuse value into each item from the hangtags to the displays. They especially love the sell through!

Q: What does the future holds for Mary Square?  Maybe a small sneak peek into future product expansions, ideas, etc.
A: Mary Square is constantly evolving and changing to meet our customer’s needs. Look for new floor display programs at summer markets, expanded reusable gift bags and greeting card options, maternity apparel and several can’t miss pre-books launching in September!

Q: Tell us a little about your company, how long in business, how you got started, etc.
A: When I started this business on my bedroom closet floor back in January of 2015, my designs were created with one important aspect in mind:  to inspire women to feel beautiful.  I have always enjoyed playing dress up as a child with my sister in my grandmother’s closet. Grandmom McDowell owned the most exquisite fur coats, high-fashion jewelry, and carried herself with a presence of class and elegance.  Without being stuffy or stiff, Grandmom’s warm smile embraced us little rascals that rummaged through her closet and dreamed of life as princesses as we trotted through her house in high-heels and red lipstick.  We walked with our heads a little higher as we donned ourselves in her beautiful collections of jewels.  Now as a designer, my desire is to create the same feeling for women that I felt when I dressed in my Grandmother’s jewels – that on-top-of-the-world feeling that flows from your inner confidence and outward beauty.  At the beginning, I began with one main product – a wood beaded bracelet intended to be worn in a stack.  Eventually, our products expanded into earrings and necklaces as well.  Now we offer over 700 products to 1,000+ retailers in all 50 states!

Q: What are your product offerings?  What’s unique about your products vs. other companies in this category?
A: One major characteristic of our brand is that it is organized into categories by design element.  We offer a style for everyone, for any age, and for any occasion.  The versatility of our line keeps pace with the modern woman.  From day to night, from dressed up to dressed down, from fancy to casual, our pieces have you covered.  Each season we will add to our best-selling categories and also create new categories to keep a feeling of newness to the brand.  This season, we will offer 7 major categories – essentials, acrylic, animal print, natural, statement, chinoiserie, and holiday.

Q: Where do you get your inspirations and trend direction from for new products?
A: I absolutely love studying trends and find inspirations from the runway.  Taking runway trends to everyday wear is my passion.  From textures to materials to shapes and sizes, there are so many elements that go into design.  I also love finding inspiration from home design and décor.  More often than not, home design and décor trends coincide with fashion trends.  For example, the chinoiserie trend can be found in both home décor and jewelry trends.

Q: What do you love most about attending the markets?
A:  Market season is always a highlight of our year!  To see the completion of our product development process is quite rewarding, and then to experience the joy that our products brings to our customers is simply the best.  We work diligently for months to develop products that our customers will love.  Catching up with our customers, and building new relationships is also a highlight of market season.  I love learning from our customers so that we can better design future products.

Q: Why do customers love your products?
A:  I believe that customers love our products for a few reasons – versatility, quality, and price point.  We offer a wide variety of styles and trends, so no matter what style your customer most loves, we have you covered!  The high quality of our products is another reason why customers love our products.  Our finishes and craftsmanship are meticulously inspected before production begins.

Q: What does the future holds for Michelle McDowell?  Maybe a small sneak peek into future product expansions, ideas, etc.
A: We always love developing new categories!  Each season we will design new styles based on a theme of some kind, whether it be an occasion like a wedding or a vacation or a style category like animal print. We also will further develop functional accessories like keyrings, lanyard, and keychains.
