Who will take home the awards on August 20th? The GDA team and a panel of industry veterans have narrowed down the contenders.

Who are the most influential and important people and companies of the past 100 years of the gift industry? We’re about to find out.

Eighteen individuals and companies in the industry are being announced today as the finalists for the first-ever REA Century Awards, in celebration of the Gifts and Decorative Accessories magazine’s 100th anniversary.

The honorees will be announced at the REA Awards Night on Sunday, August 20, in New York City, held during the NY NOW show that week.

The REAs have been the longest running awards program in the gift industry, each year recognizing achievements across the retailing spectrum.

For this 100th celebration, GDA created the REA Century Awards to honor those who have made the greatest contributions in five disciplines in the business: Retailer, Supplier, Sales Representative/Agency, Market Center/Show Organizer and Overall Influencer.

The finalists were selected by a panel of industry members with long tenures in the business, as well as the editors and staff of GDA. More than 150 nominations were submitted, which were finalized to the nominees in each of the five categories.
