Mary Engelbreit Partners with Studio M to Launch New Fairy Garden Line

Studio M, a St. Louis Small Business, Teamed Up with Local Artist Mary Engelbreit to Create Merriment, a New Miniature Garden Line.

ST. LOUIS – Early this spring, shoppers across the country will discover a brand-new line of mini garden products designed by St. Louis’s own Mary Engelbreit. The line was developed by Studio M, a St. Louis-based small business that manufactures and distributes decorative outdoor products for the independent retail channel.

Engelbreit has been one of the best-selling art and lifestyle licenses for over 30 years. Merriment, her new fairy garden line with Studio M, was created exclusively for independent retailers. “This is the kind of line my fans will just love, and I think even people who aren’t familiar with my drawings will connect with the fairies we’ve created,” said Engelbreit.

The fairy gardening trend has been around for almost a decade and continues to gain popularity nationwide. To create this unique type of garden, gardeners use miniature items like those from Studio M to build scenes in containers or flowerbeds.

The Merriment collection stars five unique fairies that were created from original illustrations by Engelbreit, drawn specifically for the line. The line also features a wide variety of animals and accessories that were inspired by elements of Engelbreit’s drawings.

“When Mary reached out to us, we knew she would be the perfect artist to collaborate with on a fairy garden line. She brought so much character and life to this collection. The fairies are relatable, contemporary girls, each with their own story and personality,” said Anne Brown, Studio M’s Director of Product Development.

Studio M employs more than 70 friends and family members at their manufacturing and distribution facility in Fenton. The company was started by husband-and-wife team Curt and Sue Todd over 25 years ago when they invented the MailWraps® magnetic mailbox cover. In addition to miniature and fairy garden products, the company is also known for products like their high quality BreezeArt® flags and brightly colored Art Poles™ and Art Planters™.

The collection will be carried by hundreds of independent gift shops and garden centers across the country. Merriment products will begin arriving at retail locations in March.
